Originally, it had 4" canvas squares hanging from the lower edge. Then, I removed them and attached half of them on every other corner, then hand sewed multi-colored thread between jute rope into a triangle and added vintage yellow curtain rings.

The upper 'sky' shows enough 'structure' with the sides to hold it together.

This is a sample of how "hard-edge" my work was years ago before I discovered oil paint and then to palette knives. I have several old paintings and most are 48" x 48" on hardboard ("Masonite").

I was really "gardening" when I painted this one, with more structure.

See? This was a 'flat space' drip - scribble acrylic painting I did at 22 years old and hung while I was still married. This old photo shows my Mother's 50th Birthday with my two now deceased brothers, Jim and Al. (A HORRIBLE PAINTING!)

My grandma's little house in Denver, near 44th & Sheridan and Lakeside Amusement Park, was my favorite place to visit. She was only 14 blocks from my family's house that had CLAY SOIL and no flowers. HER neighborhood had lots of old fashioned flowers & GREAT SOIL!
